It was such a joy to photograph these two lovebirds! I met Kendon & Elsa in Camps Bay one perfect summer afternoon. I knew immediately we’d get along, they are both such warm-hearted and down to earth people. They started telling me a bit about their love story and it became apparent that these two are meant to be together. Their engagement story sounds like something out of a movie, but it also involved a movie or two! Kendon had been planning this surprise for Elsa for months. It started with a date to the Galileo open air cinema. Before the movie began, Kendon disappeared and a trailer started for an upcoming ‘new movie’. It was an action romance… starring Kendon himself! He ran out of the shadows and with people cheering all around he dropped to one knee and asked the girl of his dreams to be his wife.
