NEIL & NATASHA
Vondeling, Voor-Paardeberg

I’m pretty sure this is what it looks like when two best friends get married – Niel & Natasha were just the sweetest couple and could barely stop smiling all day! They got married one chilly day in the middle of Cape Town’s winter. The dark clouds revealed blue skies every now and then, giving just enough dramatic light to bring out the beautiful winter tones of the venue. Have I mentioned before how much I love winter weddings?

These two high school sweethearts said ‘I do’ in a bronze tipped chapel surrounded by dear family and friends. After the ceremony guests enjoyed a warm drink and live music while we braved the cold for some photos. Side note: it’s always worth braving the cold! The newlyweds just had to snuggle up nice and tight to keep warm! Nothing quite beats the warm tones of a winter landscape against a stormy sky, add a dashing groom and gorgeous bride and you have a very happy photographer!

The new Mr & Mrs Vermeulen made their entrance to the cozy reception hall where a fire was blazing and the wine was waiting. We listened to friends and family tell all kinds of heart warming stories about the couple. After lots of laughter and a few tears, dinner was served, the cake was cut and the dance floor was open!

Tash & Niel, thank you for being such a pleasure to photograph!
